To register for the National Professional Practice Exam, you must log in to your online profile and a link will be provided on your homepage.
Yardstick Testing Centers has been selected by The Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) to provide exam delivery software and services for the National Professional Practice Examination. This award-winning vendor has been chosen based on its excellent reputation in providing computer-based testing services to clients around the world, including large-sized associations.
Exam write sessions are held three to four times a year. The sessions are determined by the Alberta Association (APEGA).
When you register for your exam, you will have to choose a preferred date, time and location. Sessions take place over three days, with morning and afternoon offerings, in many cities across Canada.
Virtual proctoring is a method of overseeing a secure examination using the internet to have a person (proctor) in another physical location monitor a candidate while they take the examination. Virtually proctored candidates are bound by the same security and confidentiality rules as candidates that write the NPPE in proctored test centres.
After you have registered for the exam, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail from Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. You will receive another e-mail notification from Yardstick, the exam provider, 28 days prior to the exam write date, confirming details of your write time and location.
Exam Results
Your result will be a "PASS" or "FAIL" on the attempt, and will be available within four weeks after writing the exam. To view your results, please log in to your online profile.
