The Association is asking for members to submit nominations for the following awards. Your help supports the ongoing success of the awards program, and to ensure that Manitoba's most worthy engineers and geoscientists are recognized for their contributions to our professions and society.

Nomination Categories
This award recognizes groups who demonstrate excellence in, and major contributions to, the concept, design, and implementation of an engineering or geoscience work. If a large group is awarded, presentation may be made to the leading members of the group.
Eligibility
- The team(s) must have at least one member who is an Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba professional member, but do not have to be living in Manitoba
Criteria
- Project ingenuity, impact, complexity, and client's needs
Intended to recognize engineers or geoscientists who have shown innovation through the advent of new technologies or novel applications of engineering/geoscience ingenuity through application of a concept or project.
Eligibility
- Candidate shall be registered as a professional member or intern with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
Criteria
- Innovation (50%), Complexity (25%), Impact (25%)
This award is intended to recognize engineering and geoscience employers that have demonstrated, in action and spirit, support for recruiting, training, retaining, fostering respect for, and/or advancement of career opportunities for people defined within the "Diverse Employee Group". In celebrating these accomplishments, the award has the intended purpose of encouraging involvement of organisations in diversity-related activities, regardless of company size.
Eligibility
- The company or employer must have registered office and substantial workforce in Manitoba.
- The employer must be involved in providing engineering and/or geoscience services or manufacture of related engineering/geoscience products in Manitoba. The candidate company must employ (a) professional engineer(s) or geoscientist(s) registered with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.

- Employment equity (25%)
- Promoting diversity in the workplace and community (10%)
Intended to recognize an undergraduate engineering or geoscience student or group of students who have shown excellence in, and/or major contributions to, the concept/design of a groundbreaking engineering or geoscience project/thesis.
Eligibility
- Registered as undergraduate student(s) and student member(s) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, at the time of nomination.
Criteria
- Innovation (50%), Impact (25%), Complexity (15%), Feasibility (10%)
In addition to recognizing exceptional achievement in a trainee, this award shows the public and fellow Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba members what a professional engineer or geoscientist contributes to Canadian society.
Eligibility
- Must be an Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Intern

- Public promotion achievements
- Promotion of engineering and geoscience among youth
- Service to the profession
The Champion of Engineering Education is a joint award with the University of Manitoba. Nominations are received by the Dean's office, and the Dean will make a selection and forward that name on to the Awards Committee for approval.
The award is to be given to someone who has gone above and beyond to promote and or improve engineering education in Manitoba. The nominee may or may not be an engineer, but must be nominated by someone within the Faculty of Engineering with a P.Eng.
In addition to recognizing exceptional achievement at the start of a career, this award shows the public and fellow Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba members what a professional engineer or geoscientist contributes to Canadian society.
Eligibility
- Must be an Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba member
- Preferably under 35 years of age as of June 30 in the nomination year
- Preferably been registered as a professional engineer or geoscientist in Canada for no more than 10 years as of June 30 in the nomination year

This award is intended to recognize female engineers who through engineering and career achievements have demonstrated the qualities that enabled Judith Weiszmann to be recognized as an outstanding engineer, role model, and influencer of the profession for the advancement and support of women in engineering.

- Must be a female professional engineer registered with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba

This award recognizes outstanding service to, or performed on behalf of, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.

- Technical Society and Community Activity
This award recognizes outstanding achievement or influence towards major engineering or geoscientific works and developments undertaken for society's long-term benefit and/or quality of life. The individual is usually in an upper management, executive, or governance role.
Eligibility
- Must be a Canadian citizen
- Has carried out a major achievement in Manitoba
- May be an engineer, geoscientist, or non-engineer/geoscientist
Criteria
- Degree and type of personal involvement
- Foresight towards and positive impact on society or quality of life
This award recognizes outstanding achievement, including the direct advancement of the engineering or geoscience professions in Manitoba, by an individual member during his or her career.

- Must have carried out major achievements in Manitoba
