Help
Shape Manitoba's Approach to Artificial Intelligence Artificial
intelligence is rapidly transforming how organizations operate, make decisions,
and deliver services. Through the new department of Innovation and New
Technology, the Government of Manitoba is seeking input on the governance and
responsible use of AI, including topics such as transparency, human oversight,
cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, and safeguards to protect the public
interest. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba encourages practitioners with an
interest in AI, emerging technologies, data governance, cybersecurity, and
innovation policy to share their perspectives with government by providing
written comments and submissions to help inform future policy and regulatory
approaches. Submissions can be sent directly to
mintconsultations@gov.mb.ca.
New
Learning Module: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) for Engineers and
Geoscientists Explore the importance of equity, diversity, and
inclusion (EDI) within the engineering and geoscience professions, and examine
how these principles contribute to respectful, inclusive, and effective
professional practice. This module will help practitioners understand the role
EDI plays in the workplace and broader professional community, while developing
practical competencies in open-mindedness, respect, empathy, and cultural
awareness. To participate, please log-in to your
