By-law Proposals After engagement with membership, through open
engagement sessions and third-party focus groups, review by the By-law Review
Committee, drafting by legal counsel, and further member engagement, Council has
approved the list of by-law proposals for 2026. The wording for the 2026

Student Renewal Now Open Student enrolment renewal for
the 2026 - 2027 academic year is now open. Current student enrolments will expire
on
September 30, 2026. Renewing ensures continued access to benefits
such as professional development modules, mentorship opportunities, discounted
event rates, and the Competency-Based Assessment system. If you have recently
graduated, please apply to become an Intern instead of renewing as a student. If

Women
in Mining Manitoba: Scholarship Award Opportunity Women in Mining
Manitoba (WIM-MB) is offering an annual monetary award ($1,000) for two (2)
students interested in pursuing a career in exploration, mining, and related
fields to advance their studies. One of the two $1,000 student bursaries is
generously sponsored by Rodren Drilling. WIM-MB's goal is to promote diversity
within the mining industry in Manitoba, and to provide opportunities for
networking, mentorship, education, and empowerment through speaker series,

2027 Engineering & Architecture Softball League: Teams Wanted
The Association of Consulting Engineering and Architectural Firms Softball League (ACEAF)
has been operating in Winnipeg since 1980 and is looking for teams to join the 2027 season!
This is a mixed league for ages 18 - 80, featuring orthodox softball
(underhand pitching, no windmill),
with a conventional strike zone.
No stealing or leading off, and teams umpire their own batters.
A minimum of two women must play in each game.
The game schedule includes
Wednesday evenings in May and June,
and
Thursday evenings in July and August.

Monday, September 21, 2026 Learn more about the Women in Engineering
and Geoscience Mentorship Program at this orientation session for mentors
(professional engineers and professional geoscientists) and protegees (interns)
who are interested in joining the 2026 - 2027 program. This orientation session is
offered in a hybrid format. In-person attendees will be welcomed to the
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba office at 870 Pembina Hwy, where lunch will be
provided. Those unable to join in-person are invited to participate online via
