Equity in Professional Regulation Practitioner Survey Data Summary
One's experiences of unwelcome comments, conduct, and/or differential treatment, as well as sense of belonging in the professions vary by identity. The majority of respondents are seeing both Association and employers' efforts toward equity, diversity, and inclusion as positive, or very positive. There is an increase in respondents reporting that their employer requires them to participate in Truth and Reconciliation (TRC) training over last year. An additional 12% reported participating in voluntary training or orientation related to EDI, and an additional 15% related to TRC. See the summary of these results and more in this infographic.

Habitat for Humanity Manitoba Open House Tour - Monday, September 14, 2026
This special behind-the-scenes come-and-go tour will provide members with an opportunity to see firsthand how Habitat Manitoba creates affordable homeownership opportunities for local families from a technical viewpoint. Participants will receive a guided tour with Jamie Hall, CEO, Steve Krahn, Senior Vice President of Program Delivery, and Thomas Hoffman, Director of Construction, who will share insights into the project, Habitat's build process, and the lasting impact affordable housing has on families and communities. Registration Now Open for the Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program
Registration is now open for the 2026-2027 Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program! The program runs from October 2026 to March 2027 and is open to women and non-binary professionals, interns, and students. The program is aimed at supporting engineering or geoscience students and interns by matching them with professional members who are working in a similar field. The program provides a great opportunity for all participants to expand their professional network. Licensure Support Scholarship Pilot Program
Engineers Canada and Practice PPE Exams have partnered to launch a pilot program offering 30 free Competency-based Assessment (CBA) courses to aspiring women engineers in Manitoba to accelerate their licensing progress. This program is part of Engineers Canada's 30 by 30 goal - to see 30 per cent of newly licensed engineers be women by 2030. Orientation: 2026/2027 Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program - Monday, September 21, 2026
Learn more about the Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program at this orientation session for mentors (professional engineers and professional geoscientists) and protegees (interns) who are interested in joining the 2026-2027 program. This orientation session is offered in a hybrid format. In-person attendees will be welcomed to the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba office at 870 Pembina Hwy, where lunch will be provided. Get to the Point: A Practical Writing Course for Technical Professionals (Fall 2026) - Monday, September 21 - Friday, October 2, 2026
This interactive training introduces participants to the Pyramid Method of Writing(tm) and applies it to writing effective emails, letters, short and long reports, and proposals. Participants will receive personal feedback on three writing assignments. The format provides time to discuss and evaluate longer more technical documents such as recommendations, investigations, formal reports and studies, and proposals.
