Final Act and React Activity - Activity #7: Definition of Professional Practice and Fees, Dues and Fines
This is the final Act and React activity before the Association
submits its legislative drafting instructions to the Government of Manitoba on
October 31, 2026.
All Act and React activities will remain open until the end of July.
To help inform Council's decisions at its September 10, 2026 meeting,
comments and feedback should be submitted to
GR@EngGeoMB.ca
before that date.
Comments and feedback received after the Council meeting
will still be reviewed and considered before the drafting instructions are finalized.

Complete the 2026 Practitioner Survey
All practitioners are encouraged to have their say on topics such as admissions,
professional standards,
equity and inclusion,
mentorship,
volunteerism,
and the overall value of membership in this year's Practitioner Survey.
It is now available online until
Friday, July 24, 2026,

12:00 p.m.
The survey is anonymous and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

EngGeoMB Mentorship Centre Summer Hours: Book Your Spot Today!
The EngGeoMB Mentorship Centre is open to all students, interns, licensees, general members, and senior members in good standing.
Whether you need a conducive space for work, study, or meetings, the centre is available
Monday
to
Thursday
from
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,
with extended hours until
8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Please keep in mind that the centre adheres to Association Summer hours;
our office will be closed on
Fridays
at
1:30 p.m.
until
Friday, September 4, 2026.

Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba Family Legacy Bursary Draw
EngGeoMB is now accepting applications for the 2026 Family Legacy Bursary Draw.
Five bursary prizes are given to the children of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba members.
Applicants must be Canadian residents and must be enrolled full-time in
the first year of an engineering or geoscience program at a CEAB accredited Canadian university or college.
The application deadline is September 1, 2026.
This year, The Family Legacy Bursary Draw will be expanded to include the children of Specified Scope of Practice Licensees.

Geologize Communications Courses: Free Access for EngGeoMB Members, Licensees, and Interns
Geoscientists Canada has renewed and expanded its collaboration with Geologize for another two years (2026 - 2028),
continuing to provide free access for all licensed and registered members to Geologize's critically
acclaimed online training - Practical Geocommunication.
Also included is a brand-new Mining Communication course,
with a mining focus but designed to help geoscientists in all disciplines develop
stronger, clearer, and more impactful messages about the profession's role in modern society.
Both courses count toward Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
