March is National Engineering and Geoscience Month
This March 2026, EngGeoMB is proud to take part in National Engineering and Geoscience Month (NEGM) - a time dedicated to recognizing the innovation, expertise, and impact these professions have towards the safety and future of Manitoba. In partnership with fellow provincial regulators across Canada, the Association will host a series of initiatives and events designed to engage both our members and the public, shining a light on the innumerable contributions of engineers and geoscientists daily. Certificate of Authorization Renewals: Now Open
Certificate of Authorizations are currently renewing for the period of Friday, May 1, 2026, to Friday, April 30, 2027. Renewal notices have been mailed out to the listed authorized designates and should be received shortly. All companies who hold a Certificate of Authorization must submit their renewal payment by Thursday, April 30, 2026. If the company is no longer providing engineering and/or geoscience services within the province of Manitoba, please complete and return the Certificate of Authorization cancellation form. Renewal payments can be made online by credit card, submitting a cheque by mail, or by contacting the Association office by phone at (204) 474-2736.

2026 EngGeoMB Awards: Nominations Close Tomorrow!
This is your opportunity to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions in their fields of engineering and geoscience at the 2026 EngGeoMB Awards. Whether it's through innovation, leadership, or community impact, your nominations help shine a spotlight on those who inspire and elevate others in Manitoba. Submit your nominations no later than Friday March 6, 2026; the Student Achievement Award nomination deadline is Friday, May 8, 2026. Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer for Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) 2026
Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW) 2026 is just around the corner, and we are still looking for a few additional volunteers to support the Spaghetti Bridge Competitions on Tuesday, March 17, Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, 2026. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is hosting a full week of activities as part of National Engineering and Geoscience Month, and volunteer support is essential to making these events a success. Registration Committee - One Position Available
EngGeoMB is inviting a Civil engineering P.Eng. to join the Registration Committee, a Council committee responsible for the final review of applicants and interns advancing toward registration and licensure. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the standards of the profession while supporting future professional engineers. For more information, please read the full volunteer call.

Academic Review Committee - One Position Available
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is seeking professional engineers in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Civil, or Biosystems engineering to serve on the Academic Review Committee. This committee plays a key role in reviewing academic assessments for first-time applicants and supporting the integrity of the admissions process. Competency-Based Assessors - Multiple Positions Available
EngGeoMB is seeking additional assessors to conduct the final review of applicants' Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) reports. This opportunity is ideal for those who wish to volunteer but cannot commit to monthly meetings, as assessments can be completed remotely, at a time and location of the assessor's choice. We are seeking professional members in good standing who have been registered for at least two years, work in a supervisory capacity, and receive remuneration on a full-time or regular basis (more than 300 hours per calendar year). As part of NEGM 2026, we're excited to host a series of Lunch & Learn sessions showcasing the diversity and impact of our professions. This session provides practical guidance on maintaining good standing and handling ethical dilemmas in daily professional practice. It will cover common questions from the Good Character e-Module, explore real-world case studies, and highlight key ethical concepts and their application.

Lunch & Learn: Sustainable Innovation at The Leaf - Energy Modelling & Design Excellence - Tuesday, March 24, 2026
As part of NEGM 2026, we're excited to host a series of Lunch & Learn sessions showcasing the diversity and impact of our professions. Join Focal Engineering as they explore their work on The Leaf at Assiniboine Park, Canada's Diversity Gardens.
