Engineering Regulators Sign Agreement to Strengthen Collaboration and Harmonization
Today on Thursday, May 23, 2024, Canada's 12 engineering regulators across the country gathered to sign a National Statement of Collaboration to further expand their partnership. The signing ceremony took place in Winnipeg as part of Engineers Canada's 2024 Spring Meetings and Annual Meeting of Members. For more information, please read the full news story.

Engineers Canada's Names Philip Rizcallah as Chief Executive Officer
President Nancy Hill, P.Eng., and the Board of Engineers Canada are pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Rizcallah, P.Eng., as the organization's next Chief Executive Officer, effective August 6, 2024. Rizcallah succeeds Gerard McDonald, who will be retiring after six years of service to the association. For more information, please read the full press release.

Volunteer Opportunities
Investigation Committee
The Investigation Committee is a committee of Council and is made up of registered professionals from all disciplines, who review complaints made about the conduct of members in a timely manner and makes recommendations for discipline based on the severity of the offense. The committee also provides guidance to membership on standards of professional practice. The committee is currently looking for a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) working in the area of structural engineering to join the committee. For full details, please see the call for volunteers.

Harassment in the Workplace: Know Your Rights - Monday, June 10, 2024
Join the 2030 Manitoba Coalition for a presentation and discussion by lawyers Christian Monnin and Allie Moar to get an understanding of your legal recourse options should you be the target of harassment in the workplace. Workplace health and safety includes anti-harassment and violence policies that must be enacted to prevent unnecessary and harmful workplace distress. Wine and Cheese Event and Presentation to the Our Future Campaign Stars - Wednesday, June 12, 2024
The Indigenous Chapter of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba will be hosting a wine and cheese event along with a presentation of posters to the campaign stars of the Our Future campaign.
