Volunteer Opportunities
Nominating Committee - Multiple Positions

For the 2023 year, the committee is looking for four new members: three professional members, of which one needs to be a professional geoscientist; and one intern (engineering or geoscience). Interested members who have a well-connected network with other professional members, an understanding of governance, succession planning, board/Council functions, as well as experience in the field of Human Resources are encouraged to apply. For more information on this opportunity please see the call for volunteers.

Future City Competition - Multiple Volunteers Needed
The Future City Competition challenges students in grades 6, 7, and 8 across Canada to use the engineering design process to research, design, and build a model of city 100 years into the future. Students in this year's challenge are to design a zero-waste city and provide examples of how the city reuses waste resources to keep its residents safe and healthy. Volunteers are needed to serve as role models/mentors, as well as answer any questions and provide advice as students work through their build. If you are interested in volunteering for this opportunity or want more information, please visit the Engineer-in-Residence Program Future City Experience webpage or the call for volunteers.
