Request for Proposals - Consultant: Equity and Engagement in Professional Regulation
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has released a request for proposals (RFP) seeking a qualified consultant to develop and consult on implementation of a strategic plan to strengthen gender equity, anti-racism, decolonization and anti-oppression professional development, and accountability measures in the professional regulation of engineering and geoscience practices in Manitoba, both for members and certificate of authorization holders. Nominate an Outstanding Woman in Engineering Today
In 2013, the Price Faculty of Engineering unveiled a permanent installation, Celebrating Women in Engineering. The wall includes a listing of all women graduating from the faculty programs, and is headlined by feature profiles of six notable women in the profession. These profiles are updated periodically. Competency-Based Assessors - Multiple Positions
EngGeoMB is seeking additional professional members to join the growing group of CBA assessors. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to give back to their profession but may be unable to commit to monthly meetings, due to work commitments, travel restrictions, childcare, etc. Professional members who are working in a supervisory capacity and are receiving remuneration on a full-time or regular basis (greater than 300 hours per calendar year) in the following engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply: Electrical/Transmissions, Electrical/Hardware, Mechanical/Aerospace, Mechanical/Manufacturing, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Project Management, Civil/Transportation/Rail Design, and Civil/Geotechnical. Competency Based Assessment (CBA) Virtual Session - November 29, 2022
Competency Based Assessment (CBA) is conducted to determine whether applicants have progressed to a professional level of competency in their field during their engineering or geoscience work experience. This virtual information session will provide an overview of CBA and may be of interest to prospective applicants, new graduates, current interns, and anyone interested in learning about the CBA process. Building Code: Spatial Separation and Exposure Protection - November 10, 2022
In this session, you will gain an understanding of the application of Subsection 3.2.3. Spatial Separation and Exposure Protection of the 2015 National Building Code of Canada (NBC) to buildings regulated by Part 3 of the Code. The application of Subsection 3.2.3. Spatial Separation and Exposure Protection is one of the first steps in building design and analysis and is reflected by the City of Winnipeg Part 3 Design Summary.
