2024 Manitoba Electrical Code Enforcement
The 2024 Manitoba Electrical Code (MEC),
which adopts the 2024 Canadian Electrical Code,
will be enforced Wednesday April 1, 2026.
The
Winnipeg Electrical By-law (WEB) 118/2025
will be enforced at the same time.
The MEC, WEB and related 2024 Technical Interpretations will be posted online on Wednesday April 1, 2026.
The video of the virtual code seminar held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026,
including responses to questions arising from the seminar,
will be posted to the
City of Winnipeg website
once final edits are complete.
