Engineers of Tomorrow's Engineer-in-Residence Information Session
Join representatives from Engineers of Tomorrow on
April 26, 2023, to learn more about the
Engineer-in-Residence (EIR) program now operating in Manitoba. This free
program links school teachers with engineering volunteers who provide
regular in-class or virtual activities to support the curriculum and engage
students with the world of engineering. Join fellow educators and engineers
to learn more about what others are doing in their classrooms.

Climate
Change Training Survey Results Now Available The Manitoba Climate
Resilience Training (MCRT) Project Team extends its appreciation to the 188
practitioners in Manitoba who responded to the recent online survey. This
survey was undertaken as part of the training needs assessment portion of the
MCRT project. An additional 222 allied professionals such as architects,
planners, and certified technologists/technicians responded to the same survey.
The Association was funded for the MCRT Project until March 31, 2023, by the
Manitoba Government's Conservation and Climate Fund. For more information, please see the

Energy Efficiency Programs for New & Existing Commercial Construction -
April 12, 2023
Join this free online lunchtime session with Efficiency Manitoba, a new Crown Corporation
dedicated to reducing energy consumption in the province.
This session may be particularly useful for engineers who are working in retrofitting
existing commercial buildings or creating plans for new builds, as it will enhance
knowledge of the government programs available, enabling them to assist their customers
in assessing potential funding.

A Deeper Dive into Geothermal Engineering and Energy Modelling -
April 13, 2023
This course will further explore Ground-Source Heat Pump (GSHP) technology and energy
modelling, offering demonstration and practice exercises that will show how the tools work.
This course will be offered once as an in-person evening workshop. Food will be
provided for attendees. Prior attendance or online viewing of the 'Introduction
to Geothermal Engineering and Energy Modelling' session is recommended.
