Bridge Competition - A Smashing Success!
Over 780 enthusiastic students joined the Association from all over Manitoba to design, build, and smash their bridges during
the annual 2023 Spaghetti Bridge Competition in honour of Professional Engineering and Geoscience Week (PEGW). This year, we
are proud to announce that the Association was able to donate $18,661.50 to Harvest Manitoba. To read more about this year's competition,

Public Review of Proposed Changes to the 2020 National
Model Codes
The public review of the second set of proposed changes to the 2020 editions of the National Model Codes is now open.
The proposed changes included in this public review relate to the National Building Code of Canada and the National Plumbing Code
of Canada. The Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC) invites code users, stakeholders, and the public to review
the proposed changes and provide feedback. For more information, see the

Climate Change Training Survey Results Now Available
The Manitoba Climate Resilience Training (MCRT) Project Team extends its appreciation to the 188 practitioners in Manitoba who responded to
the recent online survey. This survey was undertaken as part of the training needs assessment portion of the MCRT project. An additional
222 allied professionals such as architects, planners, and certified technologists/technicians responded to the same survey. The Association
is funded for the MCRT Project until March 31, 2023, by the Manitoba Government's Conservation and Climate Fund.

2022 Salary Survey Now Available
The 2022 Salary Survey is now available for eligible practitioners to complete via a link in their online profile.Completing the
survey provides practitioners, employers, and the public with information regarding engineers' and
geoscientists' salaries and benefits in the Province of Manitoba. This information assists Association practitioners in understanding their compensation
with respect to the local marketplace and enables comparisons with data from other provinces.

2023 Making Links Engineering Classic -
June 15, 2023
Save the date! This year's annual Making Links Engineering Classic will take place on Thursday, June 15, at Quarry Oaks in Steinbach
and will feature the return of a shotgun start, optional golf clinic with the resident CPGA Professional, and new 19th Hole Reception
