Certificate
of Authorization Renewals Certificate of Authorizations are currently
renewing for the period of May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024. Renewal notices have
been mailed out to the listed authorized designates. All companies who hold a
Certificate of Authorization must submit their renewal payment by April 10. If
the company is no longer providing engineering and/or geoscience services
within the province of Manitoba, please complete and return the
cancellation
form. Renewal payments can be made
online
by credit card, submitting a cheque by mail, or by contacting the Association
office by phone at 204-474-2736.
Professional
Geoscientists Ontario Introduces Incidental Practice Registration to Facilitate
Short-Term In February 2022, Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO)
announced the implementation of Incidental Practice Registration for
geoscientists registered in other jurisdictions in Canada, which allows them to
legally work short-term in Ontario, with a registration process designed to be
quick, easy, and inexpensive. This new application of temporary registration
gives professional geoscientists the ability to register with PGO and then
renew on a monthly basis, instead of having to apply for a six or 12-month

March
19, 2023 Join us at Kildonan Place to mark the 2023 Provincial
Engineering & Geoscience Week (PEGW) with fun activities to engage the next
generation of engineers and geoscientists! Children's activities running on
Sunday afternoon provide kids of all ages a chance to have some fun; from
building structures out of gumdrops, to bridging a raging river using straws,
and even digging for cool rocks and building a working circuit, there's

March 20 - 23, 2023
How much weight can a bridge made out of spaghetti hold?! Join us online on
Thursday, March 23, to watch our annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition! Watch
as our professional engineers break trusses made of spaghetti and white glue
as part of the Association's annual spaghetti bridge breaking event for students
in grades K-12.
