Mentorship
Program: Registration Now Open for 2023 Last year, the Association
piloted a new mentorship program that is open to members and practitioners at
different stages in their professional development.
2023 Registration is
now open to interns (EIT/GIT), professional engineers, professional
geoscientists, specified scope of practice licensees, and senior members
registered in good standing with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. Please see

Violence
Against Women in Engineering Event Held in honor of the Montreal
massacre victims, join the the University of Manitoba Space Applications and
Technology Society (UMSATS) on Tuesday, November 29, to hear from speakers on
the current risks to and future of women in engineering. Networking to follow.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to a local women's charity.

Manitoba Climate Resilience Training Working Group (MCRT) -
Multiple Positions Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba was successful
in receiving funding from the Manitoba Government for climate change training
and is now looking for volunteers from a variety of sectors, such as
biosystems, geoscience, buildings, and transportation; experience in
greenhouse gas reduction activities, methods, or technologies to join the
MCRT Working Group. The MCRT working group is tasked to update the BRACE/MCRT
1.0 training courses in adaptation and then plans to develop and deliver new
courses to address mitigation. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer
for the working group, please review the

Competency-Based Assessors -
Multiple Positions
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is seeking additional professional members to join the growing group
of CBA assessors. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to give back
to their profession but may be unable to commit to monthly meetings due to
work commitments, travel restrictions, childcare, etc. Professional members
who are working in a supervisory capacity and are receiving remuneration on a
full-time or regular basis (greater than 300 hours per calendar year) in the
following engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply:
Electrical/Transmissions, Electrical/Hardware, Mechanical/Aerospace,
Mechanical/Manufacturing, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Project Management,
Civil/Transportation/Rail Design, and Civil/Geotechnical. Please see the

it to be, you must understand what you can influence and control, and what you
cannot. Join Lisa Moretto from RGI International for this virtual session
hosted by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of
Saskatchewan (APEGS) to explore how to create a positive and professional

Building Code: Mezzanines and Interconnected Floor Spaces -
