National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - September 30, 2022
September 30 is a federal statutory holiday for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day provides an opportunity to recognize and reflect on the legacy of residential schools in Canada. The day opens the door to global conversation about all aspects of the schools and is an opportunity bring people together in the spirit of reconciliation and honouring the experiences of Indigenous peoples. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba will observe the day by closing its offices to provide staff with an opportunity to expand their understanding of the history of residential schools in addition to their lasting and devastating effects.

EngGeoMB Annual General Meeting - October 13, 2022
In accordance with By-law 13.4(a), the Council of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba invites all professional members and interns to the 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Association. City of Winnipeg Process Changes for Permitting - October 5, 2022
The City of Winnipeg has scheduled a meeting to discussing the upcoming process changes for permitting, resulting from provincial legislation. The specific Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba meeting is 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. on October 5 via TEAMS. If this time does not work for some members, another general session will be open to all from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Keystone Professional Committee - Multiple Positions
The Keystone Professional Committee is responsible for the communication and release of information via the quarterly publication of The Keystone Professional. The committee is seeking members with a keen interest in pitching story ideas and writing articles about trends regarding innovation, current issues, or field-specific topics to join the group. Dealing with Micro-aggression and Conflict in the Workplace - October 1, 2022
Registration deadline for this subsidized course is midnight tonight (Thursday). Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba invites members to join this exclusive three-hour training session on dealing with micro-aggression and conflict in the workplace, presented by certified mediators Delia Joseph and Karen Ridd. This virtual session will take place on Zoom. This training isn't just about black and white issues: it's about acts (intentional and, more often than not, unintentional) that limit the ability of people from any marginalized group to flourish. 2022 Livable Cities Forum (LCF) - October 3, 2022
After an online Livable Cities Forum (LCF) in 2020, and a hiatus in 2021, Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) is looking to convene leaders and practitioners from across Canada around the topics of community resilience and emission reduction with a focus on equity and climate action this year.
