orientation session for mentors (professional engineers and professional
geoscientists) and protegees (interns) who are interested in joining the
2022/2023 program. This orientation session is offered in a hybrid format.
In-person attendees will be welcomed to the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
office at 870 Pembina Hwy, where lunch will be provided. Those unable to join

Doug Ruth Student Lounge Plaque Unveiling -
September 23,
2022 On Friday, September 23, at 2:00 p.m., the Price Faculty of
Engineering will be hosting Engineering Homecoming 2022 in the Engineering
Information and Technology Centre (EITC). As part of the event, the Engineering
and Geoscience Education Foundation (EGEF) will participate in the unveiling of
a plaque in the student lounge. The plaque commemorates Dr. Doug Ruth's
dedication to students and engineering. EGEF donated $50K to the Price Faculty
of Engineering Strategic Initiatives Fund, with naming rights to Room E2-294,
which will be renamed the Doug Ruth Student Lounge for 15 years. For more

Building Adaptation Skills for Engineers Webinar

The Building Regional Adaptation Capacity and Expertise (BRACE) Program led by Natural Resources
Canada (NRCan), is launching a fall webinars series focused on sharing experiences on how to
build climate change adaptation skills. This session will include presentations on Building
Climate Resilience and Collaboration in Manitoba, The Infrastructure Resilience Professional
Credential, and Trying to 'Adapt' Engineers to use Climate Adaptation Knowledge on Critical
Infrastructure.
