Competency-Based Assessors - Multiple Positions
We are
seeking additional assessors in all disciplines to join our growing group of
volunteers for the Competency-Based Assessment System. This volunteer
opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to give back to their profession but
may be unable to commit to monthly meetings due to work commitments, travel
restrictions, childcare, etc,, as your schedule is up to you! Assessors will
review an applicant's submission, as well as the applicant's validators'
feedback, and provide ratings for each of the competencies to determine if the
applicant has progressed to a professional level of competency to gain
licensure. Professional members receiving remuneration on a full-time or regular
basis (greater than 300 hours per calendar year) in the practice of professional
engineering and/or professional geoscience, reporting full ProDev, and have an
awareness of current practice standards, employer contexts, and workplace
cultures are encouraged to apply. For a detailed description of this opportunity
and the volunteer requirements please see the full
call
for volunteers.
Keystone Professional Committee - Intern Writer
Do you have a passion for writing, have a strong writing background,
are up to date on current events and news, and have a knowledge of
modern tech? If so, the Keystone Professional Committee is looking for
an intern to contribute as a writer for the Associations quarterly
publication of
The Keystone Professional. Interested interns are asked
to please submit a resume and two pieces of writing for review
to Diana Vander Aa, at
Volunteer@EngGeoMB.ca.
Association Chapters
Chapters are active and diverse, with many opportunities to lend a hand.
To account for the size of the province, the Association organizes Manitoba
into regional boundaries so that isolated groups of professionals may congregate
for special events and advocate their regional voices. There are also newly
established ethnic chapters organized by local communities.
For more information about how to volunteer, please contact
each chapter for details.
