The Association will be hosting a series of in-person
lunch 'n' learn sessions this May and June, offering attendees the opportunity
to build on the knowledge they have gained from completing the online learning
modules and providing a forum for group discussion. The first session on
Wednesday, May 4, will explore the topic of professionalism, and will be
followed by sessions in June on the Code of Ethics and good character. For more

Manitoba to learn more about the Engineer-in-Residence (EIR) program now operating in Manitoba.
This free program links school teachers with engineering volunteers who provide regular in-class
or virtual activities to support the curriculum and engage students with a world of engineering.

In this half-day course, participants will review the
factors that govern cladding requirements in the Manitoba Building Code. This
includes how Spatial Separation, Building Height and Non-Combustible
Construction, and related standards address fire spread from building to

Join Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba's Director, Equity
and Representation, Lisa Stepnuk, EIT, for this one-hour virtual session which
will explore some of the research on intersectional gender biases that exist in
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) education e.g. early
gender gaps in math and English, present some Manitoba statistics on gender
ratio imbalance in engineering and its high school pre-requisites, and more.
