Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has developed a series of online learning modules to help practitioners find more accessible ways to fulfil their ProDev requirements. Two modules were released in the fall on professionalism and the Code of Ethics, and two more modules on good character and ProDev have just been released! Members have access to the Learning Modules through the Quick Links after they log into their online profile.

Certificate of Authorizations held by companies to provide engineering or geoscience services in Manitoba are currently renewing for the period of May 1, 2022, to April 30, 2023. Renewal notices have been mailed out to the listed authorized designates. All companies who hold a Certificate of Authorization must submit their renewal payment by April 8 or complete a cancellation form. Renewals payments by credit card can be made online.

2022 Project Donate Engineering and Geoscience Challenge - March 1 - 31, 2022

Canadian Blood Services is partnering with the engineering and geoscience sectors in Manitoba to roll up their sleeves to save a life. In honour of National Engineering and Geoscience Month, the Association is encouraging members and practitioners, as well as their colleagues, family, and friends, to donate if they are able. The Canadian Blood Services will even provide LifeBus transportation for up to groups of five! To learn how you can get involved, see the event listing. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has launched support co-working sessions for interns who are women and gender-diverse to keep up with the report submission requirements to progress toward licensure. Registration is open for the March sessions, with more sessions planned every second Thursday throughout the year. Please see the event listing to register online.

As part of the Association's strategic priority E-5.1: Increasing Indigenous membership, to ensure that practitioners in the professions reflect the diversity of the public, we are partnering with the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs for an online discussion with the Association's Indigenous Professionals Initiative Coordinator, Nicole Everett, and Randy Herrmann, P.Eng., Director, Engineering Access Program (ENGAP) at the University of Manitoba. The session will take place over Facebook Live, so subscribe to the online event for a reminder!
