The 2021 virtual awards ceremony takes place this Friday, November 5, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The awards ceremony is complimentary for all those interested in spending the afternoon honouring member achievements and corporate contributions to engingeering and geoscience. The Ingenium On-Demand Library, featuring all four live keynote sessions, four interactive workshops, ten seminars with live Q&A, and exclusive on-demand sessions from the conference, is available until January 28, 2022. Those who haven't yet registered for Ingenium 2021 have until January 14, 2022, to sign up and access the on-demand content. EngGeoMB is still accepting applications for our new Mentorship Program! This circular mentorship program is designed to support the skill development, community growth, and professional and personal goal achievement of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba members from intern to advanced level professionals. The Registration Committee (RC) is a committee of Council made up of registered professional members from both engineering and geoscience disciplines. The committee is responsible for conducting the final review for members and interns who are moving forward towards final registration. RC is currently seeking new professional members to join the committee, and while all members are welcome to apply, the committee is most in need of professional members with expertise in the following areas: mining, mechanical/HVAC, geological engineering, or geoscientists. The Manitoba Construction Sector Council, Manitoba Home Builders' Association, Manitoba Heavy Construction Association, Winnipeg Construction Association, and First People Development Inc. are hosting a one-day Manitoba Women in Trades Conference at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Conference Centre in Winnipeg this coming March. The conference is geared toward women who need support, guidance, and connections to make their construction career a success, as well as to employers, superintendents, project managers, and estimators to identify ways to recruit, retain, and support women in trades.
