The University of Manitoba Engineering Competition (UMEC)
will be taking place virtually this year and is in need of judges to help
evaluate competitions and presentations. Judging is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to
6:00 p.m. for both days. If you are interested in volunteering or have
questions, please contact the University of Manitoba Engineering Society Vice
Stick External, Duncan Lamont at
vse@umes.mb.ca. It is required for judges to
be either professional engineers or engineers in training.

addresses issues that relate to understanding the importance of energy
efficiency in controlling global climate change, measurement and verification

Institute (ACI), this webinar will discuss the theory and application of
recycled ground glass powder (GGP) in concrete. This two-part presentation will
cover an overview of the use of GGP in concrete and the application of this

luncheon featuring Kent Bannister from Trek Geotechnical. The presentation will
focus on design, construction, and performance monitoring of stone column
reinforced embankments with a case study of the Saskatoon Interchange project,
