Impacts from climate change are happening now. We see
those impacts becoming more frequent and severe with each passing year. The
Association is working with the Province of Manitoba and other sectors to
develop and deliver training to enable our practitioners to incorporate climate
change resilience into their practice. Would you like to be involved and make a
change? Mark your calendar for noon on February 23 to attend an engagement
session. Stay tuned for more information on this great opportunity to share your
expertise and advice to help prepare our province for what warns to be a
challenging future.
As part of

The Future City Experience challenges students in grades
6, 7, and 8 across Canada to use the engineering design process to research,
design, and build a model of a city 100 years into the future. Students in this
year's challenge are to design a lunar city and provide examples of how the city
uses two moon resources to keep its residents safe and healthy. Volunteers are
needed to serve as a mentor to participants as they work through their build.
For full information about this opportunity, see the
call for volunteers.
