With our renewal period well underway, we wanted to share a poem from 1956 when the Association took to humour to remind members to pay their dues. Most of you have already renewed for 2021,
but if you haven't yet, please do so before you are no longer in good standing and your name is removed from the Association's register as a member. Need a good laugh? Check out the poem on our
news story. You won't want to miss this one!
Did you know that all practitioners can affiliate with an Association chapter? If you were affiliated with a chapter before renewing your membership, you are invited to reconfirm your affiliation with any of the Association's chapters
through your
online member profile. Affiliation with a chapter is not exclusively based on ethnicity or location. Anyone can join any chapter for mutual support, networking, and special events.

The Nomination Committee is looking for five members: four professional members, one of which needs to be a professional geoscientist, and one intern (engineering or geoscience). The Committee assists Council in identifying election candidates who meet the criteria for councillors as described in the Governance Policy in a manner consistent with the Act and By-laws and taking into consideration the broadest possible diversity of the membership. This committee typically only meets three to four times in April and May.
