Looking Back Through Our Century: December 2009
After four years of construction and at a cost of about $300 million, the Winnipeg Water Treatment Plant began sending treated water to the city on December 9, 2009. Located at the Deacon Reservoir, the plant is a modern facility designed for performance, safety, and environmental sustainability. To achieve Strategic Ends 5.1 and 5.2, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is working to understand, track, and effectively address the reasons for the significant underrepresentation of Indigenous people and women in our professions. Volunteer Opportunities
The Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel, presented by Cambrian Excavators Ltd., is a not for profit event raising money for the Heart & Stroke Foundation, scheduled to take place February 5 to 7, 2021 on the river at The Forks.
