Looking Back Through Our Century: September 2002
On September 5, 2002, the Golden Boy was re-installed on the Legislative Building dome after a seven-month repair which cost approximately $1 million. The project, which earned Dillon Consulting an Award of Excellence, was an extremely challenging project involving more than 10 sub-consultants and test labs, and 10 contractors. To learn more about the project and the Golden Boy, see the news story.
Indigenous Members Round-Table Discussions
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is working to increase the number of Indigenous practitioners in engineering and geoscience. As part of that work, we want to better understand the perspectives and experiences of Indigenous engineers and geoscientists. We have engaged Probe Research Inc., a professional research firm, to conduct a series of round-table discussions with Indigenous Association members as well as Indigenous engineering graduates who did not ultimately pursue a professional designation. If you are interested in participating in the round-table discussions, see the event listing for more information.

The ERC is looking for a professional engineer in good standing with expertise in civil enginering - water resources/hydrology, who can commit to reviewing files and meetings regularly. For full details, please see the call for volunteers for more information.
