Some of our younger practitioners have always had the ability to look up information on the Internet, however many of us can recall a time when we couldn't ask Google. It took 407 hours of effort and 25.6 megabites of storage on a hard disk to bring APEM's website to completion. On June 26, 1998, the Association's first website would be available for general use. Read the
news story to learn about the process from the volunteer mastermind behind the website.
Last call for participation! All practitioners are encouraged to share their input in this year's Practitioner Survey, which is available
online until Monday, June 29.
The survey is
anonymous and should take no more than five minutes to complete. Thank you to the practitioners who have already completed our 2020 survey. We appreciate you taking the time to provide valuable feedback as the Association strives
to continue to grow and support our practitioners.
The new "Manitoba Back to Work This Summer" initiative is a hiring program to help Manitoba-based businesses rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. Employers can apply to receive funding for up to five
employees hired or rehired after June 18. Businesses can learn more about this and other government programs at
www.manitoba.ca/supportsforbusiness.
Due to overwhelming popularity, we've added a second day! Spots are still available on July 16. As part of the Association's Centennial Community Outreach,
we have sponsored a Habitat for Humanity Build Day. We are looking for approximately 15 additional volunteers who are available for the full day on July 16.
No previous experience or equipment is needed. All that is required is a positive attitude and a willingness to learn! Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. COVID-19 protocols will be followed on the jobsite. For more information and to register, see the
event listing.
