Member Engagement Sessions - Future By-law Amendments - Changes
to Retired Member Status - February 3 and February 12,
2020Council invites all members to participate in an engagement
session discussing the requirement to address incongruity between our Act and
Bylaws, including By-law changes for 2020. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
obtained advice from legal counsel regarding the legality of retired categories
of membership. It was found that having retired categories is currently in
contradiction with the Act. Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is currently
exploring options to eliminate contradictions between the By-laws and the Act
while still maintaining services for retired members. We are seeking input from
membership to determine the best course of action. For more information and to
register, please visit the
event
page.
